January – walking through what was probably the darkest time of my life with Liz as we attempted to return to our synagogue. The Chaverim formed. We began to meet at Liz’s house for Shabbat. *My first time ever being out of organized religion.
March - Final break with synagogue.
June 16 – Mom’s 90th surprise birthday party. Many months of working through the grief, finally accepting my doctor’s advice to help me cope with life.

May/June - Second cross country road trip with the Hendersons – highlight of the year.

July – Rose passes after battling cancer for two and a half years - Liz and I walked through this with her.
September 29 – Liz’s Mom passed unexpectedly on the last day of Sukkot.
October 29 - left Beit Hallel, a messianic synagogue.

Resigned from job after 16 years of teaching at Sand Hill Elementary in Belfair, WA.

September - my dad, Marion Dorsett Samson died at the age of 86.

1989-1998 - Attended various churches where I was actively involved.

Left Country Chapel after six years of attending – I had been active teaching Sunday School and hosting a home fellowship group for most of that time.
1987
September - my brother, Dean, 10 years my senior died unexpectedly at the age of 38. We all flew to California to attend his memorial.

Joined ‘Channel’, a Catholic ministry training program based in Seattle, WA.

Joined ‘Catholic Life Singers’ Ministry. We traveled around the state singing in various Catholic Churches.
Graduated cum laude from Eastern Washington University with a B.A. Ed, major – Reading, minor – Math.

Rejoined the Catholic Church.
Worked in the EWU Education office in the work study program for the year.

Left Catholic Church and lived in a Christian dorm off campus.
Attended Marshall Community Church.
Went to Hawaii with the church choir for two weeks.

Employed by Sacred Heart Hospital in the laundry for the Summer.
Lived at home while attending college.

Seriously considered joining a convent.
Entered Eastern Washington University in the Education program. Lived on campus in Dryden Hall.

Attended a David Wilkerson Crusade where I consciously decided to serve G-d.
Began to attend the ‘Lord of Love’ prayer meetings at Gonzaga University.

Began attending Mary Cliff High School, an all girl Catholic school, Spokane, WA.

Attended Cataldo Middle School as two parish schools consolidated.
Began to sing with the folk group at Sacred Heart Catholic Church for the Saturday evening folk mass.

Moved to Montana - First at Rocky Boy Indian Reservation on the Milk River, where Dad worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs, then to Havre. I remember there being a blizzard, my brothers’ horned toad, and their friend’s horses.

Born on July 24 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Spokane, WA – the last of seven children. Lived out on Glenrose Prairie, then moved to 19th Street across from Manito Park.
